About Sharon
Sharon Klein, owner/broker is a graduate of the S.U.N.Y. system, with a major in business and environmental studies. In 2007, she achieved the coveted designation of GRI as a graduate of the Realtor Institute. She started her real estate career 18 years ago working for Mercury Capital Corporation in New York City; a private lending company specializing in providing financing for the purchase of distressed properties and defaulted mortgages. She quickly advanced to the position of Senior Vice President of the residential financing division. While with Mercury, Sharon bought, fixed up and resold distressed properties for her own company. Credit Resources, Inc. At Mercury, Sharon learned the fine art of negotiating the real estate deal. She prides herself on having the negotiating skills of a street-wise New Yorker, and the laid-back country style of a true Hudson Valley-ite. Also, during her time spent as a private lending executive, she was a broker with the Ziegelman Group; a private lending institution that specializes in lending money to professional real estate investors who purchase distressed properties, fix them up and resell them. With the Ziegelman group, she traveled around the country evaluating and underwriting investment properties. She is going on her 17th year in the real estate business, acting both as a lender and a broker. As a general real estate practitioner, Sharon is also a Title Closer for major banks and attorneys. She also has lucrative practice as a property manager and asset manager for major banks.
Sharon is also a horse owner and rider. Having seen the need for horse property specialists, she opened Hudson Valley Horse Properties as an affiliate company. It specializes in locating and marketing horse farms and properties zoned for horses in the Hudson Valley.
In her "other" life, Sharon is also an accomplished musician; playing guitar, singing and songwriting since she was 8 years old. She can be seen playing at any one of the many Hudson Valley venues, playing out of love these days, for her local following.
