Kerhonkson New York Real Estate

Residential | Land | Multi-family | Commercial

Also known as "the other side of the mountain" by those of us that live in New Paltz, it used to be known as the "beginning of the Catskills" in the borscht belt heydays of the Catskills resorts. Nowadays, many of the old bungalow colonies have been either converted to year round residents or torn down to make way for large homes on large pieces of property. Relative to the eastern corridor of Ulster County, it is more affordable. Kerhonkson NY boast a fair number of farms and larger parcels which can be had for less money than its Gardiner and Marbletown counterparts, although that is rapidly changing. Expect to pay $170,000 for a 2 BR 1 Bath modest home in decent condition to upwards of $750,000 for an old stone house on 10-20 acres.
